Convalescent

Purpose:

To provide funds for a holiday or getaway, gym equipment or other purposes, which will aid convalescent during or after a prolonged illness or injury.

Eligibility:

In the case of an injury or illness affecting the;

• • Member - must be receiving S&A benefits for a period of 12 weeks.
  • Spouse/Spouse - only in special circumstances determined at the discretion of the Board

Benefit:

Up to $500 (or other discretionary amount as determined by the Board.)

Limits:

At the discretion of the Board.

Payment:

Through payroll or direct to bank account.

Notes:

Members who are off work and receiving S&A benefits continuously will be entitled to claim for this benefit.
